LA116 Connecting Research to Practice Caring for Infants and Toddlers

Educators often focus on what infants and toddlers are learning, but it's important to understand how they learn too. As infants grow into toddlers, it's important to consider learning in the context of relationships. Their engagement in learning changes, and they develop new skills. Play is crucial, as it encourages curiosity and creativity while fostering self-regulation skills. Children are naturally curious, and educators play a key role in providing hands-on learning and exploration of the world around them. In this course, educators will gain a better understanding of how to apply research in a developmentally appropriate way for their classroom.
