1. Create a GaPDS Account or use an existing GaPDS account.
2. Complete all four Substitute Series OLLI Trainings to earn the Micro Credential Certificate:
   1. Substitute Series: Building Relationships
   2. Substitute Series: Classroom Management
   3. Substitute Series: Professionalism and Ethics
   4. Substitute Series: Working with Children
3. Upon Completion of all four Substitute Series OLLI Trainings, a certificate will be generated which will show in your GaPDS profile. You will receive an email with additional information on how to start and complete your registration as a Substitute Teacher.
4. Read and Acknowledge the Substitute Teacher Policy.

Please note, individuals who complete the Substitute Series micro credential and are added to the GaPDS substitute teacher search are not considered employees of DECAL and should not represent themselves as such. It is the substitute teacher’s responsibility to ensure all other criteria are met, including but not limited to receiving a satisfactory determination on a DECAL criminal records check, completing CPR/First Aid training, and completing any other criteria and trainings as determined by DECAL licensing regulations and/or prospective employers.
