SEEDS Count Me In

The goal of theSEEDS: Count Me Incourse is to provide early care and education professionals with general information on how to successfully include all children in their learning environments. It will introduce the profession's definitions for inclusion, and outline the type of practices and supports necessary to achieve high quality inclusion. Laws that support inclusion will be explained, as well as how to seek additional support for children who may qualify for Babies Can't Wait or Preschool Intervention programs.

Competency 4: Using Developmentally Appropriate Approaches to Connect with Children
ECE4.1 - Modeling positive relationships with colleagues, children, and families and encouraging children to develop and maintain positive relationships.
ECE4.2 - Using a broad repertoire of developmentally responsive teaching and learning approaches, guided by applicable learning and development standards, individualized for every child.
ECE4.3 - Intentionally planning and preparing a learning environment that nurtures each child’s initiative, encourages active exploration of materials, supports engagement with activities, and encourages interactions with others.
